Happy Valentine's Day. What a special day for Rhea and Jarrod! They were married on Valentine's Day, won't be forgetting that anniversary! Nothing about their wedding reflected what you would expect for a Valentine's Day wedding ... and I was glad! Her colors were silvery blue and white. In fact, Rhea said she kept forgetting it was Valentine's Day. Rhea and Jarrod were so calm all day. The ceremony was sweet and very reflective of Rhea and Jarrod. They wrote their own vows. Friends of theirs {and mine} Jeremy & Annie Hunt sang 3 beautiful hymns during the ceremony. The reception was in The Atrium. We did a carving station, almond punch {yummy}, fruit tray, cheese tray and of course there was cake! Oh and we did a hot chocolate bar. Rhea and Jarrod prepared a DVD slide show full of pictures that we played during the reception. It was a wonderful wedding day!

Oh - something unique usually happens at each wedding ... but this was a first. The minister had his own tux shoes. About 15 minutes before the ceremony he realized that the sole of his shoes, yes both shoes, were coming off. I mean the shoes were un-walkable! We tried hot gluing the sole to the shoe, but that wasn't working and time was ticking. Darren, our Media guy, suggested black zip ties. We ended up zip tying both shoes to Dr. Merrill's feet. See the pictures below ... it was hilarious, but it worked! Thanks for the last minute idea Darren!
