April + Troy = cutest couple ever! Seriously!
-
April is a tiny little thing and the way Troy looks at her is precious. Saturday was very calm. They did not take any pictures before the wedding, which is a little unusual, but it allowed everyone to just hang out before the wedding. And the photographer was pretty quick after the wedding! The ceremony was sweet. They showed a slideshow between the Seating of the Families and the Wedding Party Processional. All the BMs & GMs {that's wedding lingo for Bridesmaids and Groomsmen} were crowded around the center doors watching the slideshow ... too cute. A couple friend of theirs read "Blessing of The Hands", a tear-jerker poem {written below}. They jumped the broom, then celebrated with their guests at the City Club afterwards. Thankfully, everything was indoors. It was such a yucky day outside. I kept thinking about all the brides that planned beautiful outdoor spring weddings. I hope they all had great back-up plans. The nasty cold/rain didn't dampen April and Troy's spirits!

"Blessing of the Hands"

These are the hands of your best friend, young and strong and full of love for you, that are holding yours on your wedding day, as you promise to love each other today, tomorrow, and forever.
-
These are the hands that will work alongside yours, as together you build your future.
-
These are the hands that will passionately love you and cherish you through the years, and with the slightest touch, will comfort you like no other.
-
These are the hands that will hold you when fear or grief fills your mind.
-
These are the hands that will countless times wipe the tears from your eyes; tears of sorrow, and as in today, tears of joy.
-
These are the hands that will tenderly hold your children, the hands that will help you to hold your family as one.
-
These are the hands that will give you strength when you need it. And lastly, these are the hands that even when wrinkled and aged, will still be reaching for yours, still giving you the same unspoken tenderness with just a touch.

Our friend, Kelly, read this at our wedding at First Dallas five and a half years ago...it has held so true as my hubby has beaten cancer and I am still trying beat epilepsy and just finished brain surgery in these short few years of marriage....
