Jae and Edward first visited Heritage Chapel last October when they attended the wedding of Jeff & Liane Whang. Both couples attend Global Harvest Church. We were so excited to host Jae and Edward's wedding too. Their families are Korean and the ceremony was very reflective of that. Many family member participated in the ceremony (vocalists, musicians, scripture readers, etc). The bride and groom's mothers' wore beautiful Korean dresses...amazing hand-made Korean dresses. Jae wore a traditional bridal gown for the ceremony and then changed into her Korean dress for the reception. Jae and Edward incorporated the "Honoring of Parents" into their ceremony. After being pronounced as a married couple, they greeted/hugged each set of parents. Then Jae's father (who speaks primarily Korean) read words of appreciation to the guests in English. He must have practiced over and over to be able read it in English...very impressive. The minister was Dr. Jon Choi (pastor of Global Harvest). Edward and the minister are in a band called Eight Hour Shift. The band (minus Edward and Rev. Jon) played at the ceremony. Check out their website...they are really good!! The song they played during the ceremony was called "My History." I didn't see it on the website, but it was such a beautiful praise and worship song. If I can get a hold of it, I'll post it!

I heard there was going to be a dance contest at the reception. The winner won a digital camera. Wonder who won???
