Ashley and Jeffrey's ceremony was so sweet. Ashley's dad officiated, which is so very special! The wedding party consisted of Ashley's mom and sister and Jeffrey's brothers. This couple is so cute together. The seem full of laughter and smiles.

Tammie Pickett & Anthony McFarland

What a neat couple!! Tammie is a sweet as can be. I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her over the past year. Tammie worked hard to plan their wedding and she lined up fabulous vendors. Anthony plays in the NFL. He has played on several teams, most recently on the Colts. Many of Anthony's former teammates attended. The vocalists were powerful and the wedding message was brought by Reverend Phillips (of St. Phillips Missionary Baptist Church). The couple celebrated with family and friends after the ceremony at The Belo Mansion.

Amanda Worley & Tim Beadles

Two weeks ago Tim and Amanda were just a normal engaged couple attending our Nearly Wed Seminar. They were taking wedding plans slowly and really focusing on their relationship, wedding details would come later. But that all quickly changed last weekend when Tim began having abnormal symptoms and went to the emergency room. Shortly after enter the hospital he was diagnosed with cancer. I'm sure they were shocked! I don't know specifics, but the details and correct "titles" do not matter. He was/is very sick. {How quickly life changes.} As the next few days unfolded, the news was not good. Tim and Amanda decided that they wanted to proceed with wedding plans. Amanda called me, asking for a date a week away. After hearing her explain, we could only help. Within a few days the wedding was planned, menu set, cakes ordered. OHHHH, talk about meant to be - Amanda contacted a florist do to flowers (on very short notice). The florist, of course, agreed then asked where to deliver...First Baptist Dallas...and the florist was shocked, they were already doing a wedding here that same afternoon. So the same florist did the Pickett/McFarland wedding and did Tim and Amanda's. Neat how God worked that out ahead of time :)

The wedding was perfect. They couldn't have planned it more perfectly if they had a year to organize it. I've never listened to the wedding vows like I listened at their ceremony. Although Tim's future is very unknown, they pledged their lives to each other "through good and bad." And they are truly living the "bad" right now. But I really think for that day (well, for those 4-5 hrs) I think Tim and Amanda forgot about cancer. They were so happy! They had a wonderful seated dinner in the Atrium. They had quality time to walk around and visit with their guests. It was a bitterSWEET day. Tim and Amanda and their families were so grateful. But it was truly our honor!

In the midst of such grim days, Tim did receive great news this week! He has been accepted into a program that will provide the next step of treatment. It was a huge answer to prayer. Please keep Tim and Amanda Beadles in your prayers.

Hey there-
We got married at FB Dallas about five years ago. In reading about one of these weddings, I would love to share something with you and one of the families. Is there a way that I can reach you/e-mail you? I don't want to post my e-mail address. What would be the best way to contact you?
I'm curious, to which family were you trying to get ahold of. I was one of the individuals married on June 21st, 2008.
I'm trying to reach Amanda & Tim or if the wedding planner can help me get in touch with them. Thank you for checking...
Meredith, (I think that's your name) This is Tim. My wife and I would love to speak with you. Call us at 214-275-5610 or 806-928-7925. I have read your blog and understand why you were hoping to get in touch with us. I look forward to speaking with you soon.
Megan - did not know if you had heard about Tim. He passed away on Saturday. I believe services are at FBD on Thursday.
