June 23, 2007

Saturday was another busy wedding day! We had two weddings and a reception!
-
Abby Waite and Jon Wood were married in the Sanctuary at 11am. Their reception took place here at the church in The Atrium after the ceremony. Abby actually works at Prestonwood, but has lots of family here at First Baptist. We are so glad they choose to get married here! Jon is a huge college football fan! (Jon, forgive me I can't remember which college) But Jon contributed some great wedding ideas to Abby involving his favorite college team! The couple entered the reception to the college war chant; and left the reception as guests waved red and yellow pom poms. The guest book was actually a college football uniform with the couples last name and the #23 (for June 23). Guests signed the back and the couple plans to have the uniform framed to hang in their home. Such a cute and fun-loving couple!
-
Candice Holton was their photographer. She is such a sweet, christian young woman...such a delight to work with! And Randy Patrick of PCS Production Company video taped the ceremony. Randy's wife Robyn played the piano!

-

Later that day was Dana Burnett & Trenton Nichols wedding in the Sanctuary. Dana and Trenton just recently joined First Baptist after attend the Nearly Wed Seminar. It was a joy to see them get married! The icing on the cake was their Texas A&M connection! The couple met at college and were surrounded by lots of aggies on their wedding day! WHOOP! The couple's reception was at Lakewood Country Club. A guy that Dana went to church with in high school video taped the wedding. Since he is from Austin, he posted an ad for extra help in Dallas. Daniel Estrada answered the ad and worked along side the Austin videographer, Kevin Foley. Daniel's Dallas-based company is LifeScapes. Check it out if your looking for a videographer (or even photographer). Mockingbird Florist did the bouquets. And Stephen Gould Aperture Photography did the photos.

(I tried to get a little artsy with my photos this time :)

And here's Catherine (on the right) and I (on the left) having our own little photo shoot while Dana & Trenton finished up their post-ceremony pictures!

We had three weddings and a reception this past weekend! Talk about busy! Oh, and one of our July brides had her bridal portraits taken here Saturday. That's 4 brides on one day!
-

The first wedding of the weekend was Ashley Burdette & Matt Price's wedding in Heritage Chapel. Unfortunately, I did not get any pictures. I was leading another rehearsal in the Sanctuary and just ran out of time to take pictures of their wedding. Hopefully, I will get the photographers link soon!
-
Next we had Betsy Walsh & Ben Cholick! What a delightful couple! Many different connections brought them to our church for their ceremony! We were honored to host them. Their beautiful flowers were done by Stacey Murdoch @ The Wildflower (one of my favorite wedding vendors).
Betsy and Ben reception took place at The Old Red Courthouse! I can't wait to see pictures of the reception! Betsy had her bridals done at the courthouse...they turned out great!

-

The last wedding of the weekend was Sarah Ingram & Chad Anderson's wedding in Slaughter Chapel. Chad's mother, Deborah Fisher, worked with the church as we built the new Criswell Center. Deborah put some much hard work and energy into the church...So when Deborah inquired about having her son's wedding here, we knew it would be an honor for us! They had a small reception in Grace Parlor after the ceremony.

Emily Hampton married Matt Countryman this past weekend. Their wedding took place in the Sanctuary with a reception following in CenterStage. Emily grew up here at First Baptist and even attended First Baptist Academy (FBA). It was an honor to help her celebrate her wedding here too!
-
They had such a fun reception! The Judy Moore Trio performed, which is a great addition to any reception! I highly recommend them! Judy Moore Productions represents Dallas' most professional musicians and novelty acts. The cakes were amazing! The Cake Guys did the bride's cake and a family friend did the groom's cake. There was even a popcorn machine! So fun! The beautiful flowers were done by Kathy Hollingsworth.

June 2, 2007

Amber Terlesky & Adam Welwood were married on June 2, 2007 in The Sanctuary. Thanks to Kathy and Amber for doing this wedding! Amber was so sweet to bring her camera and get some shots for me!
This was another wedding planned by DFW Events .
Todd Events did the flowers.
And Stephen Karlisch did the photography.
Their reception was at The Adolphus Hotel .

May 26, 2007

On May 26, 2007 Amy Brown and Cody Ritchey were married in The Sanctuary. Amy grew up here at First Baptist, which made getting married here even more special.

-
(Side Note) Amy and Cody had their engagement pictures taken by Lauren Clark Photography in Lubbock. You've got to look at her site. She's awesome! I wish she worked in Dallas! To see pictures of Amy & Cody's engagement session check out Lauren's Blog by going to her website, clicking on "blog" and then scroll down the left side, click on "amy and cody".
-
Now, on to their wedding day... like I said before, the ceremony took place in The Sanctuary at 6pm with a reception following in Center Stage.
-

The cakes looked amazing! Panini Bakery did all three cakes (bride's cake and two groom's cakes). And they even had 8oz. milk bottles to go with it! So cute!!! Nothing's better than chocolate cake and ice cold milk!

-

Enjoy the pictures!

Amy's mom kept the departure a secret. Amy and Cody did not know if there would be bubbles, bells or what. Boy were they in for a surprise when everyone starting throwing paper streamers! It was so fun to watch them try to run through all the streamers (as you can see).

Trying to catch up!

Please forgive me! I have some major catching up to do. I haven't had much time over the past two weeks to keep this updated, so I'm about to post lots of good stuff!

Secondly: Here are pictures from Terry & Gary Darby's reception. Janie Hardin was kind enough to take pictures for me and I am just now getting them posted!

Their reception was in The Atrium. I just loved Terry's style of decorating! Everything was so meticulously thought through.

Terry made the neatest wedding favors...she bought stone tiles and stamped a bible verse onto the front. She glued a picture of her and Gary on the back with a Thank you note. Such a cute and inexpensive favor!!
